Sachita Shrestha

Sachita is a public health and WASH professional experienced in community engagement, project management and research in transnational settings. Growing up in Nepal, she was motivated to pursue a career that would provide support to marginalised communities in addressing social injustices and inequalities. Driven by her passion, she got a scholarship and completed her Master of Public Health (MPH) with distinction at Griffith University in Australia.

She has collaborated with a wide range of stakeholders and accumulated several years of experience working with diverse organisations including research agencies, government, non-government organisations and charity foundations across Australia, the UK and Nepal. These combined experiences have helped her develop useful insights, skills and passion for using evidence-based research, systems thinking and strength-based approaches for positive change and sustainable development.

She currently works across multi-disciplinary projects at International WaterCentre using applied research and innovative WASH approaches and applications in rural communities in the Pacific.
