The Water Leadership Program incorporates a flexible structure with direct significance to current management positions.
As a participant in the program you will complete pre-training exercises including a customised online 360-degree feedback process, two intensive face-to-face sessions, one-on-one coaching and mentor meetings. Monthly activities such as online discussions, readings and webinars are designed to promote continual development throughout the program. A final tailored one-on-one coaching session will end the program, resulting in a total of 17 days commitment, over nine months, to complete the program.

A range of scholarships are awarded annually to high calibre candidates who clearly demonstrate potential as future water leaders. These full and partial scholarships are available to domestic participants, including three full scholarships awarded annually, by the International WaterCentre in collaboration with industry sponsors for the Water Leadership Program.
Scholarship applications are open to team, project and middle managers in the Australian water sector who are Australian citizens, permanent residents of Australia or New Zealand citizens currently working in Australia.

The Water Leadership Program fees cost AU$9500 (plus GST). This cost can be spread over two financial years if needed. In addition there are travel, accommodation and subsistence costs associated with attending face-to-face training in Brisbane (5 days in February and 2 days in July).
Scholarships are offered every year to assist emerging leaders, irrespective of financial circumstances. If you are unable to commit to the full nine-month program (or are unsuccessful in obtaining scholarship), you may be interested in IWC’s coaching services.
