University Masters Courses
Through the Griffith University Masters degrees that the IWC drives, the Master of Integrated Water Management, the Master of Catchment Science and the Graduate Certificate in Catchment Hydrology, we can offer access to individual courses to suit your professional development needs. Subjects vary from ‘Catchment Ecology’, through ‘Water and Environmental Economics’ to ‘Climate Adaptation Theory and Practice’ and ‘Public Involvement and Community Development’.
There is no need to enrol in a degree, instead just choose the course(s) you are interested in, study alongside enrolled Masters students, complete assessments and be recognised with University academic credit if you pass. If at a later date you want to pursue a whole degree you can use the completed course towards that.
Find out more about the courses within the:
- Master of Integrated Water Management here
- Master of Catchment Science here
- Graduate Certificate of Catchment Hydrology here
Some of the Masters courses we can offer access to are also micro-credentialled and digitally badged by the University through Credly (e.g. see here for an example):
- Water Governance and Policy
- Soils and Geomorphology in Catchment Science
- WASH: Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene
Fees are around $3000-$4000 per course, with courses running for 12 weeks aligned to University trimesters. Typically, the volume of learning is around 150 hours per course including classes, field trips, reading and assessments. Courses are typically offered in hybrid mode so that you can choose to be face to face on campus or to connect in online.
