Wouter heads coaching at IWC and coaches water leaders in IWC’s globally-focused Pathway Program. He has also coached executive water leaders and participants in IWC’s award-winning Water Leadership Program.

Known as a global water expert, he has helped clients in Asia and the Pacific for more than 40 years in innovation, investment projects, change management, stakeholder engagement, leadership development, collaborative research, and regional cooperation.

He served as the lead water specialist in the Asian Development Bank for 20 years.

A former monk and banker who bridges East and West, Wouter coaches executives, senior professionals, and emerging leaders to create new cultures of innovation. Clients from 129 countries have benefited from his coaching and training to boost their leadership growth and productivity.

He is the founder and CEO of TransformationFirst.Asia in Singapore, and serves as an adjunct associate professor in Griffith University.

His research interests include effective leadership behaviors, collaborative leadership development, inclusive leadership, cross-generational collaboration, and transformational resilience.
