Senior Project & Program Manager

Peter Wegener

Peter is a Senior Project & Program Manager at the International WaterCentre within Griffith University. He has been closely involved in the development and delivery of the Master of Integrated Water Management Program and he currently manages the delivery of a range of capacity development programs and courses. Peter has a strong interest in individual and community capacity development, through the provision of inclusive learning environments and encouragement of critical thinking and collaborative action. He is passionate about working with others to improve how we manage water for the environment and society.

Peter has extensive professional experience in a variety of fields, ranging from agricultural research and extension, to community development and tertiary education. He has been involved in the preparation and delivery of a range of undergraduate and post-graduate courses in Australia and Africa and worked with a number of extension and research programs in Australia, Africa, South-East Asia and the Pacific. Peter has worked with a range of organisations, including The University of Queensland, AusAID, CSIRO, ACIAR, the South Australian State Government, World Bank, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, and other non-government organisations.
