Our online training courses cultivate innovative solutions to complex water management challenges by combining real-world experience in integrated water management with engaging courses, delivered by leading industry experts.
Throughout these courses, we share lessons learnt from working with organisations at an international level, and evidence-based strategies designed and implemented to improve integrated water management. Our online platforms provide an interactive virtual classroom that gives students the opportunity to engage with teachers and peers around the world.
Designed to empower practitioners with an understanding of the fundamentals of the WASH sector, this course introduces students to the core principles of planning, designing and implementing activities to improve sustainable and equitable access to domestic water supply and sanitation facilities, and improve hygiene behaviours.

Learning objectives
Join the IWC for Foundations of Water Stewardship and gain certification from the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) to manage our shared water challenges.
This course equips participants with the knowledge required to implement and promote water stewardship. You will be introduced to water stewardship and the AWS Standard, and how this innovative approach can support diverse water management goals and sustainability objectives.

After successfully completing this course, participants will gain international accreditation from AWS in Water Stewardship, and deepen their understanding of:
Taking lessons from Australia and across the globe, this course will encourage participants to understand policy reform and implementation of water management. The course is designed for participants from multiple disciplines, and a blend of theoretical learning and practical experiences in water reform and governance will be applied to explore international and local case studies.

Join the IWC and Alliance for Water Stewardship – Australia for this face-to-face delivery of the Foundation, Advanced and Specialist training in the AWS International Water Stewardship Standard and gain certification from the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) to manage our shared water challenges.
The AWS Standard is a framework for implementing good water stewardship, by identifying and tackling water challenges at site- and catchment-level. The Standard is designed to support, recognise and reward collaborative efforts to manage and drive action on shared water challenges.
