Partial-tuition scholarships

We believe that skilled water leaders are critical to addressing complex water challenges in Australia, New Zealand and across the world. As such, the IWC will grant an IWC Master’s Scholarship (partial tuition scholarship) to all Australian (citizens and permanent residents) and New Zealand (citizens) applicants who apply, are accepted into, and enrol in the Master of Catchment Science program as self-funded, full-time or part-time students.

The total value for this scholarship is A$7,000. There is additional funding available to part-time/distance students for travel and accommodation to attend intensives in Brisbane. This depends on the where the student is located and if the student is full-time or part-time. See the Terms and Conditions for full details.

The scholarship covers:

  • A$7000 towards the cost of tuition fees for Master of Catchment Science
  • up to the value of A$2500 reimbursable travel and accommodation expenses, available only to part-time students who are not based in South East Queensland, for participating in intensives.

To receive a partial scholarship:

  • applicants must apply for admission into Griffith University
  • receive an offer of admission into the MCs program
  • formally enrol in the courses (either full-time or part-time course load)
  • once enrolled, the partial scholarship will be paid directly to Griffith towards the trimester 1 tuition fees.
