The International WaterCentre (IWC) is seeking an experienced marketing and communications professional to join the team and lead the organisation in innovative marketing and communication strategies nationally and internationally.

Senior Marketing and Communications Manager

The International WaterCentre (IWC) is a growth-oriented subsidiary of Griffith University, with offices located at Griffith University, Nathan Campus. The IWC provides education and training, applied research and knowledge services to implement holistic water management approaches and develop capacity in Integrated Water Management.

The IWC is looking for a Senior Marketing and Communications Manager. The role is a permanent position, full time or part time to fit the right talent.

The Senior Marketing and Communications Manager is part of the Business Management Team, reporting to the CEO and overseeing a small team of professionals, while working towards effectively positioning the company through innovative marketing and communications strategies nationally and internationally.

Selection Criteria

  • Ability to increase the company’s profile and brand awareness internationally and in Australia
  • Experience in developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to strengthen brand recognition and scale-up innovative products and services
  • Demonstrated skill to enable teams to achieve commercial and strategic objectives
  • Ability to design, conduct and use market research
  • Experience in developing and implementing communications strategy
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Demonstrated practice in leading and managing teams
  • Experience with a range of marketing and communication tools, such as website and social media platforms, and graphic design software.

The successful candidate must be able to think outside the box, innovate, strategize, build relationships, be creative and lead the team with positive energy to drive commercial and strategic success of the IWC. Immediate start preferred.
