IWC would like to welcome participants from all around the world to Australia’s leading water, sanitation and hygiene conference – WASH for everyone, everywhere – beginning today in Brisbane, Australia.
Welcome to WASH2014

Water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) advocates are making the case for WASH to be prioritised in the post-2015 framework of priorities and targets. The UNICEF/WHO Joint Monitoring Programme (JMP) has led work to propose what future WASH goals, targets and indicators should be.

Now it is time for practitioners to reflect on how they might work differently if a vision of universal access to WASH is to become a reality in our time. New goals and targets mean new ways of working. This is what the WASH2014 conference will explore.

The week-long event is being held at Novotel, 200 Creek Street, Brisbane. It comprises three days of training workshops and two days of conference sessions on the sub-themes:

  1. Equitable access, universal services
  2. Achieving health outcomes with WASH
  3. Sustaining services and outcomes.
