The International WaterCentre (IWC)’s Water Reform and Governance online training is now open for registration. Designed to engage water practitioners across sectors the course takes lessons from Australia and the world to explore how policy reform and water governance can improve water management systems.

Join us for this six week online course commencing 23 August and develop your knowledgeand application of water reform and governance models and lessons relevant to different country contexts. The course blends theoretical learning and practical experiences in water reform and governance and applies it within virtual classrooms to explore international and local case studies.

About the course

Built on the IWC’s strong foundation in education and adult learning the course offers participants an active learning experience. Completion of the course will provide:

  • Increased knowledge of successful and failed approaches to water reform and governance.

  • Greater awareness and understanding of water reform and governance principles.

  • Understanding how reform can deliver multiple benefits to urban and rural areas, the environment, and communities.

  • Improved skills in analysis of governance frameworks and stakeholder engagement.

  • Increased capacity to use water governance principles to drive innovative solutions to complex water management issues.

Students engage with teachers and their peers through an interactive, global online classroom using flipped learning approaches, quizzes, group projects and discussion forums.
