Water professionals in Australia and New Zealand have the opportunity to join the IWC as a part-time/distance or full-time student on a full tuition scholarship for the 2018 MIWM Program by applying for the IWC Masters Scholarships (Domestic) before 22 November 2017.

This is an opportunity to develop practical knowledge and skills in Integrated Water Management through problem-based learning projects, workshops, case studies, and field trips to Cairns, North Stradbroke Island, Perth, Thailand and around South East Queensland. You can read about our other program highlights here.

Using problem-based and experiential learning, the IWC Master of Integrated Water Management (MIWM) is designed to fast-track career development and equip students with transdisciplinary skills in Integrated Water Management.

Available scholarships

The following scholarships are currently available for domestic participants: Australian citizens and permanent residents and New Zealand citizens.

Up to two full scholarships for part-time/distance or full-time study

The IWC is currently offering two full scholarships for high-calibre domestic candidates to study the MIWM commencing Semester 1 in 2018.

Each full-tuition scholarship covers the program’s full tuition fees, along with the cost of airfares from the scholar’s closest capital city in Australia or New Zealand to attend the mandatory ‘intensives’.

Scholarship eligibility

To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must have submitted a scholarship application to the IWC; submitted an application for a place on the MIWM program through Griffith University, and; have received an offer of a place on the MIWM program from Griffith University.

Both scholarship and program application due dates for the 2018 MIWM Program have been aligned and are now due 22 November 2017. This will provide enough time for program applications to be assessed and offers of a program place to be issued by Griffith University before scholarship applications are assessed by the IWC.

Scholarship recipients will be announced on 14 December 2017.
