Would you prefer a $3000 prize, or international acclaim?
The $3000 award will be announced at the Riverprize gala dinner, attended by leading water professionals from across the planet. The dinner is part of the 16th International Riversymposium, 23-26 September 2013, and finalists are also given the opportunity to present their work at this prestigious conference.
Last year’s winner, Celine Steinfeld, made priceless connections as a result of her entry.
“Attending the Riversymposium as a finalist was a unique experience. Many people introduced themselves to the finalists during tea breaks. I finally met the scientific superheroes I had read about, including Prof. Klement Tockner, Dr. Priyanie Amerasinghe and Prof. Stuart Bunn. By the end of the week I had a pocket full of business cards representing potential opportunities and connections with river scientists and managers from Melbourne’s local Yarra River to the great Brahmaptura of India.”
If you’re under 35 and can demonstrate innovation and excellence in your work in river and waterways management, either alone or as part of a team, apply now. Entries will close on July 28th, 2013.
