Water Stewards - what type of training do you want in 2016?

The International WaterCentre is hosting training on water stewardship to support water users and resource managers advocate and implement responsible water and natural resource management approaches.

We want your input into how we deliver this content to ensure our training best meets your interests and needs. Complete our three minute survey before 20 February to provide us with your feedback.

The training will facilitate water users’ understanding and adoption of the concepts, theory and structure of the international water stewardship standard. Highlights from our training in 2015 include:

  • a framework focus on engaging and working with corporate partners
  • learning practical tools to link policy with action
  • interacting with peers and other water stewards to explore and develop stewardship planning

Water stewardship is about taking good care of this precious resource and understanding water use from a personal and catchment context. Good water stewards understand the shared risks relating to water governance, balance, quantity and quality, and engage in meaningful individual and collective actions on a site- and catchment-scale that benefit people and nature.

Be sure to complete the survey and have your say on what you want to see from our water stewardship training before 20 February.
