WASH and Behaviour Change online course addresses capacity development issues
In 2014 the International WaterCentre (IWC) is launching a series of online training courses. These custom-designed courses address key sectoral issues and provide participants with practical and technical skills they need to drive positive change in the complex world of integrated water management (IWM).
The first in the online training series is WASH and Behaviour Change (12 May – 4 August 2014). IWC’s 12 week online training course is highly interactive and designed to empower WASH practitioners to incorporate behaviour change theories and practices into project design and delivery.
The course is designed for practitioners working in civil society or non-government organisations, government institutions, donor organisations, and the water/sanitation/hygiene industries. It especially caters to those in tropical zones (such as the Asia-Pacific region).
IWC will draw on expertise and experience in WASH to deliver a highly practical course. We will share our lessons from working with organisations to improve services, developing evidence-based strategies to change behaviours, and strengthening WASH-enabling environments.
IWC online training courses are built on our strong foundation in education and adult-learning for integrated water management. The format will allow students to strengthen their knowledge and skills through participation in interactive learning activities with experts and peers.
