WASH 2016 conference calls for abstracts

The WASH 2016 conference, hosted by the International WaterCentre (IWC) from 16-20 May 2016 in Brisbane (Australia), is inviting abstract submissions for oral or poster presentations or training workshops. The submission deadline is 18 October 2015. Early bird registrations are now also open for the conference.

Themed ‘WASH Futures—Pathways to universal and sustained water, sanitation and hygiene’, the conference will explore how all WASH actors, whether at a community or larger institutional scale, can work together to achieve not only sustained WASH access for everyone, but also health, well-being, environmental and economic outcomes for societies at large.

The conference will gather a wide range of practitioners and professionals from industry and private sectors, governments and academic institutions to contribute to the broader international WASH dialogue and share knowledge with the Australian WASH community and partners.

The 5-day program comprises a 2-day conference and 3-day training workshops, and will focus primarily, but not exclusively, on the following topics:

WASH Futures 2016 is part of the WASH conference series which aims to strengthen the capacity of WASH actors and facilitates the exchange of learning to improve effectiveness of policies and programs. The WASH conference series, managed by the IWC with the support of the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, has brought together thousands of WASH practitioners from all over the the world since 2006.
