Getting the Basics Right: Water and Sanitation in South East Asia and the Pacific

New publication by WaterAid Australia and World Vision Australia – March 2007

With Australia's development aid assistance set to increase, more action on water and sanitation will make a significant contribution to poverty reduction in the region.

In a new publication, Getting the Basics Right: Water and Sanitation in South East Asia and the Pacific, World Vision and WaterAid argue the case for increased investment in water and sanitation.

WaterAid is an international NGO dedicated exclusively to the provision of safe domestic water, sanitation and hygiene education to the world's poorest people. Visit WaterAid Australia’s website at: http://www.wateraid.org/australia/default.asp

World Vision is Australia’s largest overseas aid and humanitarian organisation. As well as providing relief in emergency situations, World Vision Australia works on long-term development projects with local communities to address the causes of poverty and help them become self-sufficient. More information is available at: http://www.worldvision.com.au/
