The AWA Young Water Professionals (QLD) hold a successful networking event in Brisbane
The networking part of the evening was preceded by a panel discussion on the ‘Art of Networking’. A panel of well-respected industry leaders shared their career highlights and gave the participants some tips and tricks to boost their career.
This event was a great opportunity for young water professionals to meet fellow peers from throughout the industry and build their professional network in a relaxed atmosphere.
The expert panel included:
- Mr Mark Pascoe - International WaterCentre CEO and Chair of the Queensland Government’s Water Expert Panel
- Dr Matthew Brannock - Technical Director and co-founder SaltWater and former Young Water Professional of the Year
- Dr Sandra Hall - Vice-President AWA QLD Branch committee and Interim Eastern Region Director CRC for Water Sensitive Cities
- Dr Peter Isdale - Managing Director, Intergyre Pty Ltd, Member of the General Division of the Order of Australia (AM) 2006 and chairman of multiple organisations.
“The networking event was a great success!”, said the AWA QLD YWP acting President, Charlotte Spliethoff. “Thanks to the enthusiasm of the panel members and the moderator, the topic of the discussion and a fun ice-breaker game afterwards, everybody was actively networking throughout the night and many new contacts have been made.”
The event was sponsored by IWC, KBR and CH2MHILL.
