19th RiverSymposium, New Delhi 12-14 September

With an overarching theme of ‘Great rivers of the world: management for share benefit’, the 2016 Riversymposium will tackle some of the world’s most pressing river basin management issues.

Hosted by the International RiversFoundation, the conference incorporates a range of topics and perspectives from different parts of the world, with a dedicated exploration of the unique challenges in the Greater Himalaya.

Attending the conference

The International Riversymposium is a chance for anyone with an interest in rivers to join a global conversation dedicated to long-term sustainability and a bright water future. Registrations are now open and tiered pricing is available for residents of select countries in the Himalayas, the Mekong River Basin and United Nations List of Least Developed Countries.

For those interested in attending the conference as a speaker abstracts are now open until Friday 17 June 2016.

Emerging River Professional Award

Applications for the Emerging River Professional Award (ERPA) have been extended to 15 June. Managed by the International WaterCentre Alumni Network (IWCAN), the award recognises and fosters early career river professionals who have demonstrated innovation, excellence and leadership in river, basin, or river-dependent community management.
