Position vacant: IWC Project Officer
The IWC is a joint venture of leading Australian universities, The University of Queensland and Griffith University, with a vision of creating water leaders of the future. The IWC has developed a range of education and training programs and collaborative research activities to create innovative environments for people to share knowledge and build capacity in the challenging area of integrated water management.
The IWC has developed institutional partnerships with several organisations, providing ongoing technical support and capacity-building to the implementation of integrated water management (IWM), and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) programs. IWC is looking for a project officer to join the capacity building team, to participate in institutional capacity-building partnership, research projects and training activities.
The IWC is seeking applications from candidates that have demonstrated experience in behaviour change for IWM or WASH outcomes. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively and independently in cross-cultural and team contexts, will have proven communication and inter-personal skills, and strong financial management and organisational skills.
Position responsibilities include:
- Participate, manage and provide technical input to various project teams, particularly to capacity development partnerships and research projects (such as with NGOs delivering WASH programs) especially in the fields of behaviour change, WASH and IWM
- Assist with development and delivery of behaviour change for IWM or WASH training courses (online and face-to-face) programs
