Last chance to enrol in the 2015/16 IWC Water Leadership Program
IWC's Water Leadership Program helps emerging leaders to develop the abilities they need to exert influence, drive change and advance challenging integrated water management projects - all abilities associated with the most effective integrated water management leaders.
Designed for emerging water leaders at the project to middle management level, this program is customised for the water sector through sound research and collaboration with experienced industry practitioners. The program focuses on helping leaders to build the leadership abilities (e.g. skills, knowledge and networks), to manage complex challenges, as well as collaborate and exert influence across organisational boundaries.
If you are not sure if the Water Leadership Program meets your developmental needs or whether you are ready to participate, you can access a simple 15-minute readiness self-assessment tool. This self-assessment process should help you determine whether or not to apply.
This is what 2014/15 participants had to say about the course:
"I am now more confident and aware of my values, strengths and weaknesses as a leader. I have developed a number of skills to bring together groups, exert influence, deliver projects, as well as dealing with conflicts. I can also operate more effectively in a transformational leadership space to help my colleagues take on additional challenges."
"I have much greater self awareness, improved motivation and direction for personal leadership development, more confidence to take on leadership roles, improved ability for strategic thinking, and a wide range of techniques to use to mobilise a team and influence others."
