IWC wins 4 new AusAID ALA fellowship programs
The four successful programs will run from September 2011 to February 2012 and will provide training to a total of 62 water resource professionals and policy makers from China and Indonesia. These programs build upon relationships IWC has developed with the counterpart organisations, and further the water dialogue between Australia, Indonesia and China.
The programs are as follows:
- Water and Sanitation in an Integrated Water Resource Management Context – Indonesia’s National Planning Agency (BAPPENAS)
- Water Supply Sustainability through Integrated Water Management –Indonesia’s Water Supply Association (PERPAMSI)
- River Health Management in the Pearl and Yellow Rivers, China – Yellow River Conservancy Commission (YRCC) and Pearl River Water Resources Commission (PRWRC)
- River Health Assessments for Chinese Rivers – Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES)
