You are invited to IWC Water Leadership Program launch!

The International WaterCentre (IWC) Water Leadership Program has been designed to help emerging leaders to develop the abilities they need to influence, drive change and advance challenging integrated water management projects — abilities associated with the most effective integrated water management leaders.

One event at Ozwater’11 that is sure to create some interest is the launch of the International WaterCentre’s (IWC) new Water Leadership Program. Everyone interested is invited to the launch (3:15pm, Tuesday, May 10, Adelaide Convention Centre, booth D17, Exhibition hall) which will include a wine tasting, sponsored by local and award-winning wine company, Griffin wines.

Mark Pascoe (CEO, IWC) and Dr André Taylor (Leadership Specialist, IWC) will briefly give Ozwater delegates a “taste of the new program”. This program is customised for leaders at the project to middle management level who want to be more effective at exercising influence, driving change and advancing integrated water management projects. It is supported by AWA and WSAA.

In addition, five varieties of wine will be available for tasting from an award-winning South Australian winery – Griffin Wines. This family owned and operated Vineyard from the Southern Adelaide Hills is known for Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Chardonnay wines.

Commenting on the launch, André suggested “the launch will be a great opportunity to let Australian water practitioners know about the new IWC Water Leadership Program in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. I’m sure Mark and I won’t be able to resist the temptation to make an analogy between the work that is needed to consistently produce great wines and the steps needed to support emerging water leaders to develop their leadership potential.”
