IWC meets and greets Masters students

The International WaterCentre (IWC) welcomed its 2012 Master of Integrated Water Management (MIWM) students during a meet and greet in the Brisbane CBD last night (Wednesday, 14 March 2012).

The event was an excellent opportunity for IWC MIWM students to meet and learn about IWC’s many roles as a joint venture among four world-leading universities in Australia, providing education, applied research and knowledge services for the global water sector.

This year’s cohort is made up of 55 students from Australia and across the world, including North America, South America, Africa, Europe, Asia, India and the Middle East. IWC Masters students come from academic backgrounds such as engineering, biology, chemistry, geology, public health, hydrology, natural resource management, social sciences and philosophy.

Students have a four year undergraduate degree in a related field of study and relevant work experience. They are new, mid or senior level professionals who want to change career direction or gain new perspectives in their fields.

IWC extends a warm welcome and congratulations to all master students for 2012 in embarking on an exciting postgraduate opportunity to develop an integrated approach to water management.
