IWC Learning Lab, 17-21 October 2016

In October 2016, the International WaterCentre (IWC) will host the inaugural IWC Learning Lab; bringing together the collective expertise of Australia’s leading water experts and practitioners to offer a platform for organisations, teams and individuals to gain innovative and critical skills and knowledge for delivering IWM. 

Complementing the World Water Congress & Exhibition 2016 (Congress) in Brisbane, these post-conference training courses (17-21 October) aim to build on the Congress’ efforts to develop capacity, foster new business opportunities, collaborations and partnerships. 

This five day event, comprising 19 master classes and study tours, has been specifically designed to build interdisciplinary and institutional capacity to solve IWM problems, and enables individuals and organisations to customise their week to suit learning needs and receive discounted registration for multiple days of training.

The program has been arranged under four key thematic areas:

  • Liveable and resilient cities
  • People and catchments
  • Good governance
  • Influencing change
