Clearwater 2012 International Study Tour: applications open
If you’re a young leader who is passionate about water, cities and making a difference, then the Water Sensitive Cities international study tour is for you. The 2012 study tour is an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership skills, learn about water sensitive cities, see what change looks like on the ground, and develop strong networks within Australia and overseas.
This is the third time the International Study Tour has been run. The first tour travelled to North America in 2005, and the second tour travelled to Europe in 2009. Participants came from water authorities, local governments, environmental NGOs, consultants and academia, and represented Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and New Zealand.
The tour facilitates exposure to innovative ideas in urban water management and engagement with key influencers within Australia, and provides an excellent opportunity for professional development.
The program promotes experiential learning and a key element of participation will be contributing to the organisation, management and outcomes of the tour. While there is a suggested approach and key milestones, the itinerary and destinations are entirely determined by the group.
The tour is interdisciplinary in approach and people from all types of professional backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Application close 15th August - visit the Clearwater website for more details.
