Draft National Water Skills Strategy Business Plan

AWA is inviting input to the Draft National Water Skills Strategy Business Plan

AWA, on behalf of the Water Industry Skills Taskforce, has developed the Draft National Water Skills Strategy Business Plan to operationalise the COAG National Water Skills Strategy.

The Strategy, endorsed by COAG in December last year, outlines specific items to be undertaken which will enable better utilisation of existing Government programs to assist the water sector in bridging projected skills gaps.

The Draft Business Plan includes a framework for implementation of the Strategy, as well as details of specific actions and projects to be undertaken to reduce skills shortages in the sector.

Whilst the Draft Business Plan has been developed in consultation with governments, input from the water sector and related education sector is critical to its successful implementation. Feedback is now being sought.

Please visit the website http://www.awa.asn.au/skillsbusinessplan.aspx to view the Draft Business Plan, related documents and for details on how to make a submission.

Submissions close 31 August 2010.
