PUB, Singapore’s national water agency launches new Water Management Series

The Singapore Water Academy was launched recently at the Singapore International Water Week 2016. A new initiative by PUB, Singapore’s national water agency, the Academy aims to strengthen the capabilities of both local staff, to better the agency’s mission of ensuring an efficient, adequate and sustainable water supply, and share approaches and learnings with international water practitioners.

Singapore Water Management Series

The Academy has designed a Singapore Water Management Series of four practitioner-based courses, each of which focuses on a key topic of urban water management. PUB brings together experienced practitioners and renowned international experts into the same classroom offering participants an opportunity to draw on lessons from both Singapore’s experience as well as international best practices.

Besides Water Quality Management, the series will include future courses in Urban Flood ManagementWater Reuse and Water Supply Networks and ABC (Active Beautiful Clean) Waters. The first course, Water Quality Management will run 8 – 12 November in Singapore and provide an in-depth understanding into drinking water quality guidelines from the World Health Organization (WHO), and how various countries have adopted policies and technical solutions to meet these standards.
