Global Water Partnership – Ken Thiess Memorial Scholarship

Applications for the GWP Ken Thiess Memorial Scholarship are now open (until 13 September 2013) to female candidates from developing countries. The scholarship will fund study and living expenses to undertake the IWC Master of Integrated Water Management commencing in 2014 in Australia.
Global Water Partnership - Ken Thiess Memorial Scholarship

The aim of the GWP Ken Thiess Memorial Scholarship is to build capacity in female leadership in Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM) and through doing so, to improve the implementation of IWRM in the home nation of the scholar.

The scholarship is to support the tuition fees and living expenses of a female candidate from a developing country to come to Australia and study the IWC Master of Integrated Water Management commencing in 2014.

Funding sponsors

This scholarship is administered by IWC and funded through the support of two generous donors: the Global Water Partnership (GWP) and the International RiverFoundation (IRF) in partnership with the Thiess Family Trust who provided funds in memory of their son, Ken Thiess, who died performing engineering duties on the construction of the Snowy Mountains Scheme.
