Dr Annette Bos
Dr Annette Bos is the manager of the Sustainable Development Education Program at the Monash Sustainable Development Institute where she leads a diverse portfolio including PhD, Masters, Bachelors, executive education and tailored training.
Formerly a Research Fellow with Monash Water for Liveability and the Cooperative Research Centre for Water Sensitive Cities, her research explores how alternative forms of governance and social learning can enable socio-technical transitions with the urban water sector.
Annette has an interdisciplinary background with a PhD in Social Science and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering. In her early career, she gained hands-on experience as an engineer and project manager on water and sanitation projects in Kenya and South Africa.
Prior to joining Monash, Annette was extensively involved in capacity building, consultancy and research related to water services management in Europe as well as Africa. Throughout her career, she has worked with industry, government agencies and aid organisations in developing and non-developing countries.
