Why did you choose this program?

While undertaking my undergraduate Honours project I realised that my passion lay in the area of catchment management and community engagement. After reading through a number of Master Program profiles it was clear that the MIWM program best suited my particular interests.

What were the best parts of the program and why?

Meeting people from all different walks of life that are so different from myself but share the same core values. I have met so many amazing people who I am lucky to now call friends.

Having access to professionals in the field that are passionate about what they do and their work with the IWC.

The course content was all real-world and practical. What I have learnt I will be able to use in my future career.

How do you plan to use what you’ve learned in either your current job or future career?

My career aspiration is to be involved in the field of catchment management and land use planning. The main lesson I have taken away from the program has been the importance of local communities in the decision-making process. This understanding will be crucial in my future career as I hope to work closely with local communities.
