Building leaders and making an impact: A conference for young water leaders, by young water leaders

The International Water Association is inviting all young water professionals to join them in South Africa for the 8th International Young Water Professionals Conference, 10 -13 December 2017.

IYWPC2017 theme: Building Leaders and Making Impact

The conference will provide a unique combination of programmatic content that will appeal to young academics, early career, and advancing professionals from all disciplines and all types of organisations in the water sector. With a multidisciplinary programme of technical sessions, workshops, soft skill learning sessions and networking events, participants will gain connections, develop professionally and gain recognitions for their contributions.

Conference theme: Building leaders and making impact

The conference theme in 2017 is Building Leaders and Making Impact. Participants will be challenged to demonstrate the impact of their work, while workshops and learning sessions will take place during the conference in order to build the capacity of the next generation of water leaders.

Rather than the conventional sub-theme session format where presentations are restricted to a single discipline, the IYWPC encourages multidisciplinary sharing and learning with sessions that make impact in some ‘big topics’ in the water sector and beyond.

Important dates

Abstract submissions, and workshop and learning session proposals are currently open for #IYWPC2017. For more information or to submit visit the YWP website.

Registrations to attend the conference open in June 2017, in the meantime you can keep up-to-date on the conference here
