Annika enjoys working closely in partnership with communities and local organisations to identify solutions to environmental challenges. She is interested in the integration of environmental, economic and social perspectives in research, policy and planning for sustainable and equitable development outcomes.
Annika has worked for universities, government, and non-government organisations in Australia, East Timor and the Philippines. She has coordinated action and policy-oriented research and facilitated capacity development to strengthen research, monitoring and evaluation processes and the integration of climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction in environmental management and community development programs.
Annika is currently supporting sanitation marketing and climate change adaptation for improved and sustained access to sanitation and hygiene in the climate-sensitive Pacific region.
Annika has a Master of Environment (Development) and Bachelor of Arts with Honours (Political Science) from The University of Melbourne.
